Why innovation?
As all sealing systems, mineral barriers as well as geomembranes show certain limitations. The development of new technology or further improvement of existing systems is required in order to better deal with the various environmental conditions in which they are used. With time, every lining system shows some reduction in its performance. If performance drops below the minimum requirements to fulfil the designated function, appropriate measures have to be taken to regain the required level of protection. Thus incurring aftercare costs depend significantly on the durability of the chosen system.
Traditional mineral barriers, which are often the preferred option due to their robustness and their high natural durability, might develop harmful cracks as a result of differential settlement or desiccation. The high plasticity and the chewing-gum-like properties of Trisoplast effectively prevent these negative effects and thus avoid or reduce after care costs.
The mechanical properties, especially the high friction angles, in combination with significant cohesion values, offer the possibility of designing steeper slopes without additional reinforcement. This, in combination with a significantly lower thickness, leads to additional valuable void space. The polymer enhancement in Trisoplast also leads to a higher chemical stability and an improved sealing performance.
Trisoplast offers a number of advantages compared to other sealing systems, resulting in a very cost effective, durable high level of environmental protection.
