Capping of former landfill Gulbergen (NL) started on July 10th

Despite the poor weather conditions, Trisoplast Mineral Liners was able to kick off a new project on July 10th. This project involves the installation of a capping layer at Essent/RAZOB Gulbergen, a former landfill for the Eindhoven region in The Netherlands.

The construction consists of a supporting layer of AVI bottom ashes (slag from waste incineration plants), plus a layer Trisoplast, HDPE geomembrane, a drainage mat and top soil. An area of 93.500 m², which includes slopes of 60 meters length and 1:2 inclination angles  will be covered in approximately 12 weeks.
